Get your Motors running and head down to Castle Ward on Monday 27th May as we are holding our first “Bike Festival”!
Aimed at all lovers of two wheeled transport, this event will be held out around the grounds here at the property and we are encouraging people to bring a bike to enjoy the stunning location and trails around the shores of Strangford Lough. Or come along as part of a group and enjoy the scenic bank holiday run around the picturesque loughshore and the listen to the music out on the lawn at the front of the house.
This event will mark the end of the three day Bread, Blues and Bikes festival, which will have seen celebrity cook off demonstrations on the Saturday during the International Bread Festival, the legend that is Van Morrison performing an open air concert here on the Sunday evening with the bike festival on the bank holiday Monday drawing this weekend to a close. We would love your club to come along and stop off here during the day to enjoy the sounds of the “Illegal Eagles” who are the official Eagles tribute band with “the Wildflowers” a local girl group supporting them, out on the front lawn. The festival will be running between 10am – 5pm, with normal admission charges applying to all of the people who are attending this event. The cost for admission to the property and the concert is: £7.30 per person, National Trust members are free, but if you are in a group of 15 or more people then you would qualify for the discounted group rate of £6 per person.
If you would like further information on the Bike festival or to book your clubs attendance, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help you.
Kindest regards,
Sarah
