The main reason why we decided to move from Benone was that the council pushed us yet again to holding the event at the end of September. Some years this takes us into October. This means that the nights draw in very quickly and more chance of stormy weather. From 1st October half the bikes in the country go off road untill the end March therefore numbers attending will drop Cost of the site went up yet again. Granted Benone is a beautiful site but logistics were a nightmare which for some was a week off work running around sorting things out. Every club would prefer to have their rally on home turf due to the time and effort required to set up and run a rally especially with the amount of kit involved. All i can say is give Boucher a chance. It is a cracker site with plenty of room for tents. Some critics are saying it is a flashpoint area. Well ask yourself why are the most prestiage car dealerships for Ferrari, RR, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes, Range Rover to name a few plus other upmarket retailors for furniture, tiles, flooring etc are all within the golden mile which is Boucher if it was an area prone to social unrest.
